One more reason to discover the taste of local fish. Trout as well as carp offer a delicious change on your plate. The trout is actually a member of the salmon family. Just like salmon, trout also shows the most dazzling colours during the spawning season. For example, the rainbow trout, whose pink strip almost glows during the spawning season. If, however, you hear that your trout is blue, don’t worry – it is just a preparation method. When the trout is cooked in stock and vinegar it takes a slightly bluish colour and is particularly tender. Trout meunière or simply straight from the grill are a real pleasure.
